27 projects Inaugurated at Birsa Munda’s birth place
Khunti: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday inaugurated 27 schemes worth Rs. 111 crore at Ulihatu which is the birth place of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and also laid foundation stones for 31 another projects and schemes.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the state government has come to pay tributes at the birth place of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and has brought with itself development schemes and has come to doors of the people to give them their rights.
He said that the tribal community has been socially and educationally backward but a man from the community is now working to give pace to the development of the state and due to this the works related to development of Jal Jungle and Zameen are being accorded priority. The chief minister said that the government has provided ration cards among 15 lakh needy and children from the tribal community are being sent abroad for education and players are being provided direct recruitment.
On the occasion the chief minister also announced that benefits of old age pension will be extended to all the old age people in the state and norms of APL and BPL have been set aside. He said that when people of the country had not dreamt of independence at that time Birsa Munda had blown the trumpet for Independence.
The Chief Minister said that a separate state of Jharkhand was only created after brave-hearts made their sacrifices.
He called on the members of the tribal community to become more aware as then only future of coming generations will be bright.
