Mumbai: In Maharashtra’s Beed, monkeys went on a rampage and killed 250 dogs after a puppy killed a baby monkey. In retaliation, the monkeys were reportedly seen dragging puppies onto rooftops and trees and throwing them down for the past three months.
The attempts by the local people to put an end to this animosity went in vain. Despite them informing the forest department, the officials initially could do little. The monkeys meanwhile went berserk and even started attacking school children.
While two monkeys were taken into custody by forest officials and then released into forest away, netizens were quick to indulge in a memefest about the bizarre fight between the monkeys and the dogs.
Locals said that the monkeys have been killing puppies for the last couple of months in Lavool village. As soon as they see a puppy, they would catch it and take it to place with considerable height. The dog would then be thrown from there.
The villagers contacted Dharur’s Forest Department after the monkeys attacked some school-going children as well, creating panic
