US Lists These 3 European Nations To Its Highest Travel Risk Category
Washington, Dec 29: The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has included three more European countries to its highest-risk category for travel.
The CDC in its weekly update of Covid-19 travel advisories issued on Tuesday advised against travel to Malta, Moldova and Sweden. The three European countries have been put in CDC’s “Level 4: Covid-19 Very High” category.
According to CNN report, the CDC has not moved any of its previous listed destinations on that continent to a lower level in the past week.
The other European countries included in Level 4 list are – France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
The UK has been at Level 4 since July 19.
Meanwhile, the CDC has issued a broader travel guidance amid the surge in Omicron cases: “Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread Covid-19. However, international travel poses additional risks, and even fully vaccinated travelers might be at increased risk for getting and possibly spreading some Covid-19 variants.”
