Biden pays visit to troops injured in Kabul suicide bombings
Washington : US President Joe Biden on Friday visited Walter Reed Medical Center where 15 US service members, who were injured in a suicide bombing at Kabul international airport during the evacuation mission last week, are recovering.
“Tonight, the President and First Lady are visiting wounded warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,” the White House said in a statement.
On Thursday, a US Marines spokesperson said the fifteen troops wounded in last week’s blast were staying at the medical center.
As many as 13 US service members were killed among over 150 others in an attack outside Kabul airport on August 26.
