‘Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers’: Sidharth Shukla’s family releases statement
One of the entertainment industry’s brightest stars, actor Sidharth Shukla passed away on September 2 leaving his friends and family shocked and grief-stricken. Sidharth is survived by his mother and two sisters. The actor’s family has now released a statement saying Sidharth lives in our hearts forever. They even thanked the Mumbai Police for their help.
“Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of Sidharth’s journey and showered him with unconditional love. It definitely doesn’t end here as he now resides in our hearts forever! Sidharth valued his privacy, hence we request you to allow our family the privacy to grieve,” the statement read.
It further read, “A special Thank You to the Mumbai Police force for their sensitivity and compassion. They have been like a shield, protecting us and standing by us every minute of the day! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Om Shanti- The Shukla Family.”

For the unversed, Sidharth passed away at the age of 40 after suffering a heart attack. His mortal remains were brought from the Cooper Hospital- Mumbai in an ambulance decorated with flowers. Sidharth was cremated at the Oshiwara crematorium on Friday (September 3) in the presence of his family, rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill, her brother Shehbaz and close friends.
Members from the television industry, friends and family members were present at the funeral on Friday afternoon at the Oshiwara crematorium. Jay Bhanushali, Mahhi Vij, Aly Goni, Asim Riaz, Rahul Mahajan, Vikas Gupta, Abhinav Shukla, Karanvir Bohra, Shefali Jariwala, and Darshan Raval, among others reached the crematorium to pay their last respects to Sidharth.
