Hollywood fame film editor Anuradha Singh gets heartwarming response for debut song ‘Aankhon Mein Sapne’
New Delhi, Nov 29: Film Editor Anuradha Singh, a known name in Hollywood, with Oscar-winning movies such as Slumdog Millionaire and The Hundred Foot Journey to her credit, has expressed immense joy at the response her debut song ‘Aankhon Mein Sapne’ has received.
According to Anuradha, she penned the song in 1996, as a tribute to her maternal grandmother, who always wanted to see her basking in the glory in the music world.
Talking to UNI, the talented singer, who not only penned and composed the song, but also lent her voice to it, said “Through Aankhon Mein Sapne, I want to fulfill the dream of my Nani, of sharing a poignant message with the masses. It is a heartfelt tribute to a woman, who has had a huge influence in shaping not only my personality, but also my soul.
She further shared the opening lines of her song, “When I opened my eyes I was in her arms, When she closed her eyes, she was in my arms”.
Anuradha is the only woman from India to have worked with the top of the line of Hollywood and Bollywood, including India’s Daughter, Extraction and many more. She said her song vibrates with joy, effervescence, positivity and grace.
“The deeper and more philosophical meaning of this song is how our dreams are woven in our closed eyes amidst all the realities around us. This is an optimistic tribute to the triumph of humans, despite life’s disappointments, on never losing hope and evolving for the best,” she added.
The music of the song has been arranged and produced by popular Bollywood composer Krsna Solo, the man behind the everlasting music of Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Jolly, and India’s Daughter.
Aankhon Mein Sapne was released through Krsna’s music label Voxxora Music to a tremendous response from listeners, who hailed it as a ray of hope in the times of despair.
As per Anuradha, the positive feedback she received on social media, gave her immense satisfaction, while also encouraging her to belt out some more lovely songs.
Anuradha said a woman, mother of a two-year-old, said she listened to the song while cradling her baby in her arms. “Whenever I listen to it, I experience a soothing touch,” she added.
Another said she took them to the era of innocence and melody, which had been missing from the music world for some time.
The celebrated Film Editor said this song has given her a recognition like no other, adding that the joy she experienced when her Alma Mater Banasthali Vidyapith awarded a Doctorate degree for her contribution in the chosen field, came a close second.
