Mumbai, Dec 23: The BSE Sensex on Thursday rallied 503 pts at 57,433.67
in opening session as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty too rose 137 pts at 17,092.60.
The sensex registered days high and low at 57,442.40 and 57,168.98 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 17,107.85 and 17,031.75 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up by 0.95 pc and Small Cap by 0.06 pc.
In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 2.37 pc to Rs 6394.45, Powergrid by 2.01 pc to Rs 205.60, Wipro by 2.01 pc to Rs 699.15, NTPC by 1.88 pc to Rs 124.85 and Tech Mahindra by 1.78 pc to Rs 1689.35.
The losers were Asian Paints by 0.49 pc to Rs 3264.60 and Bharti Airtel by 0.27 pc to Rs 683.
