NIA files chargesheet against 3 in IED case
Jammu, Dec 23: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against three accused in connection with the recovery of IEDs at Bhatindi in Jamm and Kashmir, officials said.
A chargesheet filed in the NIA Special Court in Jammu named Nadeem Ul Haq of district Ramban, Nadeem Ayoub of district Shopian and Talib Ur Rehman of district Ramban.
The case pertains to the recovery of IED from Nadeem Ul Haq on June 27 near Madarsa Markaz Ul Haroof at Bhatindi. The NIA took up the investigation in July.
It said the three were receiving instructions from Pakistan-based The Resistance Front handlers via WhatsApp.
“Investigation has unearthed a larger conspiracy of recruitment and plans to activate a significant number of radicalized youth of the entire Valley to target security personnel and public places to wage war against the government of India.” the statement said.
