Mumbai :The BSE Sensex on Thursday opened at life time high of 54,641.22, rising by 116 pts as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty too rose by 46.20 pts at 16,328.45.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 54,713.37 and 54,536.65 pts respectively. The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 16,335.95 and 16,286.90 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.54 pc and Small Cap by 1.60 pc. In 30 scrips, 31 advanced, 8 declined and one remained unchanged.
The gainers were Tech Mahindra by 2.46 pc to Rs 1355.80, Powergrid by 2.41 pc to Rs 180.35, M& M by 1.35 pc to Rs 789.25, Bajaj Auto by 1.24 pc to Rs 3773.80 and HCL Technology by 1.15 pc to Rs 1079.25.
The losers were Sun Pharma by 0.48 pc to Rs 775.60, Reliance Industries by 0.23 pc to Rs 2111.20, Axis Bank by 0.22 pc to Rs 759.15 and Dr Reddy’s Lab by 0.18 pc to Rs 4735.35.
