Yet again tiger terror has been experienced but this time the prey is an ox and the incident has been reported from Jalamadhei village inside the sanctuary.

A tiger killed a buffalo of Ramshila Patiya of Jalmadora village this morning. The tiger attacked the buffalo a nearby forest this morning while it was grazing. A team of forest officials have reached the village and started investigation.
The villagers are spending sleepless nights amid the killing spree by the big cat. It has already claimed 12 lives, including six calves and a cow at Powertala and Taria Mahuabhata villages near the sanctuary, this month. A 65-year-old woman of Jalamadhei village was also mauled to death when she had gone to collect firewood near her home on March 23. The leopard had devoured two more calves at Silaribahara on March 27.
According to information, yesterday evening, while collecting firewood in the backyard of her house in Jalamdei village, a tiger came and pounced on her. As she did not return home until late at night, the family searched for him but could not find her.
The local people found the old woman’s dismembered body lying in the forest this morning. Half of the old woman’s body was seen eaten by a tiger. This could have been the work of a large tiger, said Sunabeda forest department ranger Shiva Prasad Khamari informed.
