Biden, Xi To Discuss Bilateral Ties, Ukraine On Friday

Washington, March 17: US President Joe Biden will have a phone conversation with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on March 18 to address managing the competition between the two countries and the Russian operation in Ukraine, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday.

“President Joseph R Biden, Jr will speak with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) this Friday,” Psaki said. “This is part of our ongoing efforts to maintain open lines of communication between the United States and the PRC. The two Leaders will discuss managing the competition between our two countries as well as Russia’s war against Ukraine and other issues of mutual concern”
