Hijab Row A Conspiracy To Keep Away Girls Of Particular Community From Studies: Mehbooba
Srinagar, Feb 16: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti said that the Hijab row is a conspiracy to keep the girls of a particular community away from education. “Hijab is a conspiracy to keep away the girls of a particular community from education. I hope that the daughters will understand and not allow losing their studies” Mehbooba said while talking to the media persons in Srinagar on Wednesday.
She said “India is one …separate people with different religions are living in it. All wear their own dress and eat of their own choice”. “Bharatiya Janata Party is creating a “new India” where they are saying” wear the same and eat same”, she added. “Not to put a cap on your head or head scarf…speak one language… this is not Gandhi’s India. She said and added “I hope that the people of India will not allow happening this”. She said the situation post abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir has further complicated.
Mehbooba alleged that the Narendra Modi government did not want the people of Kashmir to speak the truth, so that a message could pass on to the world that peace and prosperity prevailed in Kashmir. Mehbooba hopes that one day people of Kashmir will come out of this situation with honor and dignity. She said that the resolution of Kashmir has to be addressed by way of talks with Pakistan. Thousands of people including security forces have lost their lives so far. Regarding the delimitation report she said it is not acceptable to anyone. The way the commission has merged one area to another has no relevance, she added.
