Govt issues toll-free number to address holiday homework for school students in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued the a standard operating procedure (SOP) to ensure the successful implementation of the holiday homework programme for school students during the ongoing summer vacation.
The School and Mass Education department, in an official notification on Monday, said as per its announcement earlier, holiday homework programme for the students from Class I to X will be held during the summer vacation from Monday. All district administrations have been directed to follow the SOP strictly.
Through this number, students will be able to contact the help desk. From May 1 a help desk has been opened in every district for the holiday homework program. Four teachers including subject experts have been appointed at each help desk to guide the students in their homework. The cell will remain open to receive calls on all working days from 6 am to 6 pm except holidays.
Students will clarify their doubts regarding homework by calling the number. Teachers at the help desks will help them in solving the questions.
As per the information stated by the Information and Public Relations Department, the holiday homework programme will be monitored on an everyday basis.
