Odisha Upgrades Khurda Industrial Estate Outpost As Police Station; CM approved proposals

BUBANESWAR:  Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has approved a proposal to set up Industrial Estate Police Station in Khurda and Traffic Police Stations in Barbil and Keonjhar with creation of 47 of new post for this purpose.

The Khurda Industrial Police Outpost has been upgraded as an Industrial Estate Police Station and 23 additional posts have also been created for it. A proposal in this regard has been approved by Chief Minister Patnaik. The Chief Minister had earlier ordered to strengthen the security system in Khurda Industrial Area.

Among the 23 new posts created in this police station are one inspector, 6 sub-inspectors, 3 assistant sub-inspectors, 2 habildars and 11 constable posts.

Similarly, the state government has also created two traffic police stations in Keonjhar and Barbil and 24 new posts have been sanctioned for this. The proposal in this regard has received the approval of the Chief Minister. It aims to improve the traffic system in these two cities.

Among the 24 posts created for these two traffic police stations are 2 inspectors, 6 assistant sub-inspectors and 16 constable posts.
