Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Bhubaneswar on a two-day visit to Odisha on Thursday evening and will attend a slew of programmes.
Sitharaman was received by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, state BJP president Samir Mohanty and other prominent leaders of the party at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.
Sitharaman will participate in a post Budget discussion at hotel Mayfair at 11.00 am today, said official sources.
The Finance Minister who is also the Corporate Affairs minister, is also scheduled to visit IIT-Bhubaneswar and interact with the students, sources said.
Sitharaman will also speak at a press conference on the Union Budget 2023-24 in the city.
Later, the she will proceed to Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar and interact with the students before flying back to New Delhi.
