After 2.5 years, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Mumbai flat finally finds new tenant; to be rented out at 5 lakh per month

Since his death in 2020, the flat where the actor breathed his last, has reportedly been locked. However, the NRI owner has finally found a new tenant and soon the flat will be rented out, as per a new report.

Due to the turmoil surrounding the actor’s passing and the participation of political parties, the apartment on Carter Road in Bandra West remained unoccupied. According to IndiaToday, once media stories about the apartment being unoccupied for approximately 2.5 years spread, the owner of the apartment, who lives abroad, received multiple inquiries.

According to the article, the interested party is in final negotiations to move into the home, and the transaction will probably be completed soon.

The flat will be rented out at 5 lakh per month. The owners will also get a security deposit of 30 lakh, which is equal to six months of rent.

According to a flat broker, some potential tenants were turned off from renting the apartment last year. However, following the actor’s passing, individuals have become more receptive to moving in.

The report states that the interested party is in final talks to move into the house and the deal is likely to conclude soon.

Sushant had taken the flat on the sixth floor in December 2019 for three years. At that time, he was paying a monthly rent of 4.51 lakh. The late actor was sharing the apartment with his roommates and his then girlfriend-actor, Rhea Chakraborty.
