Adelaide, Jan 22: The second T20I of the Women’s multi format Ashes series abandoned after 4.1 overs due of rain at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday. Both the teams, Australia and England, share one point each. The holders Australia lead the multi-format Ashes series with 3-1.
Danni Wyatt was unbeaten on 14 off 12 balls, with Tammy Beaumont six not out off 14 deliveries.
The toss was delayed due to rain and match was initially reduced to 14 overs per side.
Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first against England.
England were reeling 25-0 before heavy rain forced the players off the field and the officials have called it off.
The third and final T20 will also take place in Adelaide and will be played on Sunday.
