Vigilance Sleuths Conducts Raid On Properties Of K. Nuagaon Forest Range Officer

Kandhamal, Feb 10: Odisha Vigilance conducted a raid on properties associated with the Forest Range Officer of K. Nuagaon in Kandhamal district on Thursday morning on the allegation of accumulation of disproportionate assets.

The Forest Range Officer has been identified as Bairagi Charan Behera.

Simultaneous searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 04 DSPs , 07 Inspectors, and other staff.

Based on a piece of reliable information, the vigilance sleuths have conducted raids at seven places in Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Boudh district on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Phulbani.

1. Govt. quarter of Behera located at K. Nuagaon in Kandhamal.

2. Forest Range office of the Behera located at K. Nuagaon.

3. Residential building of Behera located at Landeisahi, Bhanjanagar.

4. Firm house of Behera located at Dadaralunda under Bhanjanagar police limits.

5. His residential house located at Bhutapalli, Boudh.

6. Residential house of 2 relatives of Behera located at Luduludi under Gangapur police limits in Ganjam

Further investigation regarding the vigilance raid is underway and details are awaited.
