Police Found Maoist Articles Dumped In Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar, June 12: Security personnel deployed in anti-Maoist operation in Kandhamal district have found some Maoist articles dumped in a cave near Sasiketa village under Gochhapada Police station of the district.

Based on reliable inputs, the DGP office confirmed on Sunday that a joint anti-Naxalite operation of the SOG and the DVF in the Kandhamal district took place on June 8 last.

On the following day, as the team was combing the area, they found some Maoist articles dumped in a cave near village Sasiketa, within the Gochhapada Police station limits.

17 gelatin sticks, one handmade INSAS magazine, two knives, and a large number of unprepared magazines were among the items recovered.

A black uniform, black t-shirt, tiffin box, camouflage cap, solar plate, electric wire, medicines, contraceptives, axe, compass box, mobile charger, rifle sling, belt, knee cap whistle cord, optical power glass, literature, spring, and slipper were also recovered.
