Normal Train Serives To Resume At Korai

Bhubaneswar: Both the lines at Korai Railway Station in Bhadrak-Kapilas Road Railway Section under Khurda Road Railway Division are now fit to resume normal train services, informed the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday.

At around 6:30 pm in the evening yesterday, all derailed wagons were cleared from both the lines and the UP line was fit to run the train with speed restrictions at 23:40. The train derailment inquiry will be done at the level of Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), the ECoR stated.

It is pertinent to mention that at around 6.44 am on Monday, eight Wagons of a Goods Train from Dongoaposi (Jharkhand) moving towards Chhatrapur (Odisha) got derailed at Korai Railway Station.

Three persons died due to the mishap and four persons sustained injuries. The deceased were identified as Abujan Bibi (47), Parbati Bindhani (55), and Kandhei Bindhani (26). All the three belong to Jajpur district.
