Bhubaneswar, July 2 : The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly that began on Saturday. would continue till August 4 in two phases.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the full budget for 2022-23 on Saturday. Pujari had presented the interim budget on March 30.
As soon as the House assembled, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik moved the obituary reference in the house through video conferencing mourning the death of former Baliguda MLA S N Kanhar.
BJP Deputy leader Bishnu Charan Sethi, Congress Legislature Party leader Narasingha Mishra, CPI-M member Laxman Munda and Speaker B K Arukh joined the leader of the house to mourn the death.
The house observed one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Moving the motion, the Chief Minister expressed his grief over the death of the member and requested the Speaker to convey the sympathies of the house to the bereaved family members
