Kejriwal’s Yet Another Master-stroke For A Political Hattrick

By D N Singh

AAP National convener and chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal’s political taste-buds do not seem satiated by one or two.

His zeal has bandied out the regional confines of Delhi or Punjab as he apparently entered into a novel regime of politics made out of an interesting mix of corporate driven welfare support.

An IITian and Allied, Kejriwal has dropped a political thrill by forging an interesting alliance with the Twenty20, a political outfit supported by the Kitex Group, the second-largest kids’ apparel manufacturer in the world and the largest private-sector employer in Kerala.

The Delhi Chief Minister’s visit to Kochi might have gained political significance in view of upcoming Thrikkakkara Assembly by-election and media reports regarding a possible political alliance between AAP and Twenty20 in Kerala.

The plunge taken by Kejriwal, in fact, has not to be viewed what comes out of the ensuing by-election but can be another political master-stroke for a long innings in Kerala by Aap.

No matter the Twenty20 was launched by Twenty20 party president Sabu M Jacob for forming a party for not playing politics but for the welfare of the common people.

Here it requires a mention that the Twenty20 party, albeit backed by Kitex group, and for the welfare of the common people, does speak in volumes that striking an alliance with the Aap, called Peoples’Welfare Alliance(PWA) led by the former, is smart move in today’s politics.

With unmatched global connections, this company caters to prominent and renowned conglomerates in USA and Europe. The company currently employs over 5,500 people at its facility, and has been a business provider to many satellite businesses in the state.

It has over 5,500 employees at present, and its global clients include Walmart, Amazon and Target.

So, the list of its people at the facilities, outlets and in the downstream level, Twenty20 surely stands apart. And if is for welfare of people, it would be prudent to see the goals through a prism of politics, which is inseparable from welfare.

Might be Arvind Kejriwal leaves the rest political competitors for a crystal ball gazing session but his aims in Kerala appear crystal clear. A political hattrick after Delhi and Punjab, somewhere may come his ways.
