Would Aap be game-changer in Gujarat : ‘AAP to form govt in Gujarat’, Kejriwal cites IB report

By D N Singh

Whether it is from the books of the IB, or from what he means as a mind game, but Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of AAP and Delhi CM, seems to be no mood to give up in Gujarat this time.

Notwithstanding what transpired behind his success in Punjab, somewhere the IITian chief minister of Delhi is doing some serious pulse reading in the hearts of Gujarat, a BJP bastion known for its once political invincibility when helmed by Narendra Modi before he became the PM.

Kejriwal to make his mind-game more realistic has also said that, may be at a thin margin but the IB report hints as a change in rule in Gujarat with a thin margin.

Speaking to the media in Rajkot on Sunday, he has made himself sound practical by a “IB Report”, if the elections are held at present, AAP will form the government with a thin majority while he appealed to the voters to make AAP win with a good majority.

He also claimed that since the report was made available to the government, “the BJP and the Congress have joined hands, group meetings are going on, the BJP is badly frightened with the report. Both party leaders had secret meetings and later both are making allegations at the AAP in the same language.”

According to Kejriwal, now the BJP wants Congress to be stronger in the state and for that the party is making maximum efforts to make the Congress stronger. He also claimed a few Congress MLAs were to join the BJP, but now the BJP leaders have asked them not to quit the Congress, because if they leave the Congress, it will weaken the party. BJP wants anti- incumbency votes to be divided and so it wants the Congress to play a strong role in the Assembly elections.

What is surprising that, in last couple of months, the AAP camp has been focusing on Gujarat regardless of the hindrances coming on its way like CBI raids on Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia with unfailing frequency. Yet nothing could dampen the zeal of Kejriwal and his colleagues while he also claimed that, the raids conducted on Sisodia and so on, has rather taken their prospects upward in Gujarat.
