After the not so encouraging goings before the polls in Himachal Pradesh, where a few analysts foresee a fracture in mandates, the BJP is just working almost overtime in its image pushing for Gujarat.

Whatever, the outcome from the Gujarat assembly poll remains crucial issue this time and the BJP aims to repeat its numbers in Gujarat.

But, like in Himachal, some signs of rebellion have come to the open forcing a worried BJP leadership to do the damage control as much as possible.

As regards, politics of sloganeering the BJP has its share of credit score such as Modi being pitch forked as the virtual builder of modern Gujarat.

Whereas, the main rival here, supposed to be, the Congress appear little in a give up mood for Gujarat. The party’s present face, Rahul Gandhi, so far, made to be believed as a non-serious politician, seems overtly busy in the Bharaat Jodo Jatra, which now being described as Rahul Bharat Jodo Jatra.

Rahul should be in the know of the realities that, Bharat Jodo Jatra has impacts on the South than in the North. So, where he has faulted that, he has again made the family branding of such a good initiative.   Which might not augur well for the Congress in the long run.

In fact, it is not about the Congress or its leaders, the recent exits of some seniors from the party had a message that, Rahul must now make a space for someone more acceptable.

But that has been squandered almost by his Jatra over- indulgence leaving jitters for people who want the Congress getting regroomed by someone fresh as a leader. But it did not.

People still want to see a strong opposition in the country which now seems in a kind of diminish as the family has not responded to the choice of the people and refuse the read the writings on the walls.

That is where the BJP has shown far more confidence for Gujarat. And that too despite the campaigns by the AAP in Gujarat. Which, in all likelihood might bring a honey-combing in the votes here and there.

Plus, the rebels which the BJP leadership still tries hard to manage.

However, certain issues may remain a cause of concern for the BJP. Even after 27 years of BJP rule in Gujarat, out of which 21 years under Natrendra Modi directly or indirectly, there is a dismal picture.

According to the Niti Ayog, Gujarat has 18.6 % population living under multi-dimentional poverty.
