Opera Artist: ‘Death Threat From Politicians’- Rani Panda

Bhubaneswar, Mar 29: The very controversial and free-spoken Opera artist Rani Panda has landed herself with another controversy. Her FB post stating that some political leaders were trying to shoot her dead.

In a Facebook post, Rani said ,”I have information that some political leaders are planning to kill me. If I reveal the details I have with me, they would eliminate me by firing.”

Though she has not reveal the details about the political leaders or the secret information she had about them. However, she said she committed a mistake by getting help from them.

“I have earned their wrath due to personal reasons. People of Odisha will know about them after investigation into my death. If things will go far stretched and beyond my tolerance, I will approach Sir,” she said.

The opera artist had gained overnight popularity for her sizzling and alleged over-exposing dance moves in 2020. The Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Jatra organising committee had banned her troupe Jatra Sachidanandam from staging opera at Khandagiri Jatra Mahotsav over obscene dance.

It’s pertinent to say that, the same Odia Opera sensation, Rani, has also been active in political field by campaigning for candidates in different elections and had donated Rs 50,000 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for COVID pandemic.
