Articoll’s ‘Solo Fest’, All Through With A Dose Of Art

May 16: Articoll is the artistic branch of the All India Centre For Urban and Rural Development- a NGO that was founded in 1985 and continues to provide support and carry out developmental activities across many parts of the country.

Started as a theatre group that aspires to bring in positive change with a theatre as a source of healing, growth and development, Articoll has worked for National school of Drama, Sangeet Natak Academy, Gas Authority of India Limited(GAIL), Bengal Association and prominent theatre groups like Sansaptak and Kajon among others.

Articoll soon intends to hold an event called ‘Solo Fest’ – An anthology of solo theatre performances which will be held on 20th May 2022, at Muktodhara (17-18, Bhai Veer Singh Marg, Goel Market, New Delhi- 1).

A number of solo performances will take place on the theme of ‘mental health’ in this Fest.

The idea behind this event is to keep theatre alive in the pandemic times and provide theatre artists (who depend on theatre as a livelihood) a platform to carry on with their work meaningfully.

A discussion on mental health is also part of the effort. Fees and Certificates of participation will be provided to the performing artists, crew and technicians involved.

A host of veteran and contemporary theatre practitioners will be a part of the event for their feedback and discussion. To name a few, veterans like Nadira Babbar and Torit Mitra along with other prominent theatre practitioners have been approached to grace the event as Chief Guest and hon’rable guest.
