Man Held In Abetment To Suicide His Live-In-Partner

Thane, Apr 29: A 32-year-old man was arrested on the alleged charges of abatement to suicide his live-in partner at Bhiwandi in the district on Friday, the police said.

API at Narpoli police station said the alleged accused Vikas Adgale was living with the victim, Shobha Pathare since (28) last couple of years, as she was separated from her husband due to domestic disputes.

However, the alleged accused used to come and create a nuisance and also beat her up frequently. Fed up with this, she hanged herself in her room and her body was found on April 21.

After the autopsy report and based on the intelligence reports, the police registered the offence under sections 306 and 187 of the IPC against the accused who was placed under arrest by the police on Friday, said the official.
