Singhvi Trolled For Tweet On Hate Speech, Netizens Coax Singhvi For His Obsession With UP Polls

New Delhi, Dec 28: Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi on Tuesday trained his gun against the Uttar Pradesh government for not taking action over a communal speech made against the Muslim community at a gathering at Haridwar in Uttarakhand.

As social media users did not find any connection between the case and the Uttar Pradesh government, some felt that the Congress was obsessed with Uttar Pradesh during election time.

Surendra Tapuriah@Bobbycal said: “Under what authority can UP Police take any action on any incident in Haridwar? You have been a Cabinet Minister.”

Singhvi wrote, “Has UP Police taken any action on the organizers of the criminal summit in Haridwar yet?”

The Uttarakhand Police has registered a case in connection with the hate speeches made during a three-day meet earlier this month in Haridwar.

A case has been registered against Wasim Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Tyagi and others under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code and legal proceedings are in progress, the Uttarakhand Police said.
