Awful situation arises in Paradip as rain lashes continuously

Paradip: The situation in Paradip has deteriorated due to torrential rains.  In the lower reaches, floodwaters have receded.  In some places, roads have been flooded.  Trees have been reported to have collapsed in some places as the winds have been blowing with rain since last night.

 The houses of New Jagannath Colony, Bauriapalanda, Lakpada, Balijhara, Sandakud, Nuabazar Colony, including wards 10, 11 and 12 of Paradip, have been flooded. The drains have been blocked due to heavy rains, which has disrupted rainwater drainage.
