Govt High School Recruitment: Prioritized List Under Process

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is now mobilizing the process of filling vacant High-School teacher posts. The School and Mass Education Department has directed the district-level State-run high school authorities to prepare priority lists for the needful.

The same list should be signed by the Collector and DEO and submitted to the Directorate of Secondary Education for further action. High schools which have been transformed and are remodeling, with the 5T policy of State Govt. have been asked to be prioritized by the district authorities. The Mass Education Department has asked the authorities to ensure that this priority is freezed with transparency.

Notably, the State government had sought applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies of contract Teachers in Secondary Schools through its two notifications dated: 13.8.2021 for the Posts of Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education Teachers and the other one dated 28.08.2021 for the Posts of Trained Graduate Arts and Trained Graduate Science IPM & CBZ) and Telugu Teachers.

According to the latest circular issued by the government, interested candidates have submitted their Online District Choice for District allocation. Under the recruitment process, once the District Allocation process is complete, the district-wise list of candidates allocated shall be sent to the DEOs for completion of the rest of the formalities through open counseling, and issue of engagement order.

In order to make the counseling transparent as well as hassle free, candidates for different subjects will be called for locking their choices in a system generated software, which will be done at district-level. Subject-wise counseling shall be conducted one after another. A smart display board/LED screen must be kept in the counseling hall to see the vacancy position as well as filled up the position. The entire process will be video recorded, the government said in its latest notification to the DEOs and Collectors.
